Champions for a Cause Concert to benefit Richmond fire victims

Over the weekend, Richmond police department responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute which led to the suspect setting an apartment complex on fire.  As a result, five families with a total of 17 children were displaced when the fire destroyed the building.  Once word got out about the fire, Brandi Burchett King, friend of one of the victims, quickly made some phone calls to try to help out the families.  In less than 24 hours, Brandi, along with Greg Adams, Jessica Blankenship, and Nic Cassetta were able to obtain a venue, musicians to perform, and silent auction items to help the families.

Champions for a Cause will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Champion’s Sports Bar and Grill at Galaxy Bowling Alley in Richmond, Kentucky.  The concert will kick off at 1:00 pm and will go through 7:00 PM.  A silent auction will be held at the same time, as well as the Colonel Station Food Truck.  It is $10 per person to attend the show and it will be all ages.  Cash donations are encouraged and 100% will be split among the 5 families.

Entertainment schedule of the day will be as follows:
1:00pm – Derek Isaacs
1:30pm – Tina Taylor
2:00pm – John Lovern
2:30pm – Nic Cassetta
3:00pm – Aaron Boyd
3:30pm – Daniel Cain

4:30pm – Sean Whiting
5:00pm – Jordan King
5:30pm – Dylan Jasper
6:00pm – 8 Daze Sober

At this time, the families are searching for a place to live.  Cash donations are encouraged as they currently have nowhere to store household items.  If you or your business is interested in donating silent auction items, contact Nic at 859-358-3230 or Jessica at 859-200-2047 or email kentuckycountrymusic@gmail.com.  If you would like to donate directly to the families, contact Brandi at 606-226-7059.
