Champions for a Cause Concert to benefit Richmond fire victims
Over the weekend, Richmond police department responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute which led to the suspect setting an apartment complex on fire. As a result, five families with a total of 17 children were displaced when the fire destroyed the building. Once word got out about the fire, Brandi Burchett King, friend of one of the victims, quickly made some phone calls to try to help out the families. In less than 24 hours, Brandi, along with Greg Adams, Jessica Blankenship, and Nic Cassetta were able to obtain a venue, musicians to perform, and silent auction items to help the families.
Champions for a Cause will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Champion’s Sports Bar and Grill at Galaxy Bowling Alley in Richmond, Kentucky. The concert will kick off at 1:00 pm and will go through 7:00 PM. A silent auction will be held at the same time, as well as the Colonel Station Food Truck.
