Wynonna Judd assistant shares reasons why she loves her job

In honor of National Administrative Professionals Day today and Administrative Professionals Week, Tami Olin, Assistant to Wynonna Judd and Tour Manager for Wynonna & The Big Noise shares the top 5 reasons she loves her job. Tami, along with other celebrity assistants, are teaming up with Staples on the retailer’s #CelebrateAdmins campaign that highlights the often unsung heroes behind America’s top personalities and in offices across the country.
Tami Olin, says she loves her job for these reasons:

  1. No two days (or hours!) are ever the same.
  2. My boss and I make a seamless team. She is the “heart” and I am the”head”.
  3. We laugh A LOT.
  4. A successful personal assistant thrives on details and I am a detail freak!
  5. I love my road brothers on tour. They are always immensely supportive of me.

The Staples third-annual admin day survey also found out that other admin responsibilities have been: therapist (33.6%), childcare (25%), petsitting (19%), taxi driver (21.1%) personal chef (18.2%) and matchmaker (9.4%). The survey revealed that admins are happier than their bosses (60.6% vs. 18.4%). Finally, most of the respondents said the admin boosts employee morale and is a better team player than the boss.
Tami Olin and Wynonna Judd are getting ready to gear up for the Kentucky Derby festivities next weekend. Wynonna will be the celebrity guest of the Fillies and Lillies Derby Eve Gala at Churchill Downs on May 2. Information on the event can be found here.
