Froggy Field Party Concert Recap

It is a growing tradition in Kentucky to blend music and fun with the Froggy Field Party.  This past Saturday was no exception.  I always have fun being a part of the field party hosted by WFKY, Froggy 104.9/101.7 out of Frankfort, Kentucky.  This year was no exception with Drake White and Maggie Rose.  Some highlights:

* Dillon Carmichael announcing that George Strait has one of his songs on hold for a future album.  Now that is a pretty big deal, especially for a young guy like Dillon.  Heck of a talented songwriter and singer.  Loved his deep country vocals.  Keep your ears out for him.

* Drake White could have a dance-off with Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke.  I did speak with Drake after the show and he thanked me for the interview.  He said that I was able to capture what he really is like.  To me, that is what it is about…capturing the musician for who they truly are.

* Cricket with Froggy can launch a t-shirt with her bazooka launcher.

* Maggie Rose has a girl drummer that could out-beat most guys.  Her set was a blend of country with almost like an 80s pop.  It was different, yet pretty good entertainment.  And Maggie Rose got to drive her first tractor – John Deere of course (is there any other?! – yes I’m a John Deere farm family).

* Froggy fans are very appreciative to the music.  They listen, they clap, they cheer, and they tell the artist thank you.  They respect one another and make sure everyone is having a good time.
Me with Drake White at the Froggy Field Party
Out of all of the music festivals and events, the Froggy Field Party is always the one I look forward to year after year.  I highly recommend going, because as you can see by the list below, you will catch a singer right at the point before their career booms.
