Country Music Highway
“Country roads…take me home…..” Did you know that Kentucky has their own Country Music Highway? It is US 23 in far eastern Kentucky. The significance is major as many country music artists have been raised in that region. From Loretta Lynn to Dwight Yoakam, some came from humble beginnings only to make it into a country music superstar.
Today I got to attend a press conference on the Kentucky Country Music Highway Road to Fame. I’m personally excited over this project because it brings music to kids in the classroom. Plus, it gives people a chance to have their voice heard and be noticed. It focuses only those from the counties surrounding the Country Music Highway.
