Sometimes you wonder when radio will get back to playing country music and along comes the hit heartfelt tune, “Cowboys and Angels,” by Dustin Lynch. The song has hit country radio with a shot of tradition beyond lyrics of little meaning. Dustin Lynch took the time to talk about his fast rising career.

In speaking of the hit song, Lynch said that, “It is beyond amazing to see how fast things have come along thanks to the song. It has struck a chord among fans and we enjoy hearing the stories of how it was used in weddings as a first dance, at a funeral for a loved one, and many more. As a songwriter and singer, it means so much to learn that what you wrote touched someone.”

These days, “Cowboys and Angels” is inching closer to number one on Billboard Country Charts. Recently, Dustin Lynch performed a sold out show at the famous Crystal Palace in Bakersfield. He has also played on the Grand Ole Opry stage several times. Even being under the watchful eye of the music business, you will find that Lynch has remained humble. “Which each step,” Lynch recalls, “I count my lucky stars to be able to do what I love to do. I hope to continue this for the long haul. I think fans will see that with the new album out later this month. I am thankful for my family for supporting me and allowing me to follow my dreams.”

This Friday, fans can get the chance to see Dustin Lynch headline the annual Froggy Field Party, hosted by WFKY of Frankfort, Ky. “Man I look forward to it,” Lynch exclaimed when talking about the field party. “They told me that they will have a Froggy Hoppy Hour before the show and I will guarantee you that we will continue that party on the stage. Kentucky fans have been really supportive of my music and I appreciate it.”

When asked what are his top field party songs, Lynch noted that his list included Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” and “Ain’t Going Down Til The Sun Comes Up,” to Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishing in the Dark,” to Hank Williams, Jr. hit tune, “Family Tradition.” On stage, you will find a mix of country and rock on Dustin Lynch’s set. “There will be something for everyone and I will guarantee you will have a good time.”

Along with Dustin Lynch, the Froggy Field Party will include Whitney Duncan, Joey Clark, and a songwriters stage featuring Jamie Tingle, Elizabeth Thompson, Matt Jones & Andy Palmer. The event will be held Friday, Aug. 10, at the Kentucky Renaissance Faire on 955 Elm Street in Eminence, Ky. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate.
