Country music duo, Halfway 2 Hazard, of Kentucky will be hosting their 2nd Annual Charity Ride and concert on August 22-23rd, 2009 in Crockettsville, KY.  The charity event raises money for the Buckhorn Children Center and Family Services.  Over 7,500 attended the first annual event and helped raised over $110,000 for Eastern Kentucky.

This year’s event will feature a concert performance by Halfway 2 Hazard, as well as Randy Houser, Jeremey Popoff of Lit, Dierks Bentley, Tim McGraw, Danielle Peck, James Otto, Krista Marie, Whiskey Falls, Gabe Garcia, and Keith Anderson.  For a low cost of $10 per person or $20 per carload, a country music fan cannot go wrong with getting your money’s worth and going towards a good cause.

Celebrity appearances will be made by Kyle Petty, Tim Couch, and Ricky Carmickle.  The Trail Ride will be held on Sunday, August 23rd.  It is $20 per individual rider; $5 extra for side-by-side riders or $5 for each additional family member.  The trail ride begins at 10:00 AM with registration from 7:30-9:30 AM.  Riders will ride the East Kentucky Trail System through Perry, Owsley, Leslie, Breathitt, Knott, and Clay Counties.

The concert and ride will be held at the Abner Farm at 586 Highway 315 in Booneville, KY 41314.  The concert will begin at 6:00 PM on August 22nd.

Prior to the charity event, Halfway to Hazard will be performing at Cadillac Ranch in Lexington, Kentucky.  Their current single, “I Know Where Heaven Is”, has recently been released to radio.
